MyBB 1.0 and 1.1
Founded as DevBB in 2002 by Chris Boulton from a derive of XMB, the first public launch (RC1) of MyBB was already released on 10 Dec 2003. It wasn't until 2 decades later, on 9 Dec 2005, that MyBB 1.0 was released.
On 9 April 2006, edition 1.1 was released. The last edition of this sequence was 1.1.8, a protection upgrade released on 20 Aug 2006.
On 2 Sept 2006, with a improved and rewritten value platform and over 40 new functions, MyBB 1.2 was released. Assistance for the 1.2 sequence formally finished on 1 May 2009, although protection up-dates were available until 31 Dec 2009.The last edition of the 1.2 sequence, 1.2.14, was a protection and servicing upgrade released on 17 Sept 2008. Several protection areas were available in major protection up-dates for customers still using the 1.2 sequence.
After a long try out stage MyBB 1.4 was released on 2 Aug 2008 complete with over 70 new functions, along with a completely improved and remodeled Admin Control Panel(ACP).On 12 Oct 2008, MyBB 1.4.2 was released. This edition modified MyBB's certificate from exclusive to GNU GPL v3. The change in certificate was motivated from a ask for from KDE who, in a relevant statement, released their first web-based group using MyBB as an alternative to mailinglist. We've selected MyBB as it is different surpass other applicants we have regarded to look at for the new KDE Community forums. We know that a good application makes a lot of distinction to the individual, after all we want to make a awesome place for everybody to talk about KDE and relevant questions.
On 3 Aug 2010, on the 2 year birthday of MyBB 1.4's launch, MyBB 1.6 was released with over 40 new functions and involved many modifications, repairs and efficiency optimizations. The 1.6 sequence is allocated under the GNU LGPL v3 and needs at least PHP 5.1.
During the 1.6 sequence, several mature associates of the MyBB Group modified roles. On 3 Oct 2010, Tim Bell was publicized to Item Administrator with required running the day to day functions of MyBB as well as the marketing element of the MyBB product.
They made many changes in this version. The MyBB Group said many times that MyBB would be getting straight from MyBB 1.6 to 2.0. However, on 1 Apr 2012, the MyBB group declared that there would in fact be a MyBB 1.8. Many regarded this to be an Apr Fool's scam. Then, on 3 Apr 2012.You can also set a show order for all your stylesheets so that they can bypass designs. Together, the changes mean you can add a concept with as many custom shades as you want.
This is tht next significant launch of MyBB will be 2.0, focused for a launch within MyBB's common launch pattern. Currently in planning/early growth, it is being rewritten from the begining in a MVC method.
On 7 Sept 2011, MyBB declared some 2.0 venture information. The application is being published using the Yii framework and will be such as conversation-style personal texting (PM) systems, a refined User CP and Control Lines.
